Fine Acres Estate, near Vine Vale, has some of the oldest vines in the Barossa Valley. The ancient, gnarly, 100-year-old vines on the Estate still produce high quality Shiraz in the bold Barossa style coupled with finesse.
The first 2017 Fine Acres Ancient Vine Shiraz is a wine showing aromas of dark cherry, blackberry and raspberry, integrated with chocolate and sweet vanilla notes. The palate offers rich and ripe flavours of cherry fruit and a hint of chocolate on the mid palate, finishing with well-structured tannins of excellent length.
The wine was matured for 19 months in a combination of French and American Oak and is ready to drink now or will develop further over the next 10 years.
